Thank you for your comment and suggestion. i will make a note of this. I hope you enjoy your paints. Next time I order my reds I will add the RS colour chart they sell on Jackson's. You can download it for free, but I suspect the version they sell is made on nicer paper and it costs about 13 pence I think.

@@Helenkawhitedesign a pleasure. It is never wrong to go for the colors that directly appeal to you. I do have colors from various brands, and am kinda finetuning my palette now, mostly with those colors that are specific for the brand - for RS, those would be definitely those with Aquarius in the name, as well as those interesting purplish hues, where you already have some of... if you like the shadow violet, look for its light "sibling", as well as misty morning or przybysz grey, and more vibrant purple with strontium violet. RS do use quite a couple pigments not so commonly found in other brands, which makes the colors all the more interesting. Have fun!

Hi Elliiior - thanks for your comments. I will probably use them more like gouache colours. I have just finished trying out Roman Szmal watercolours - and plan a video for January. They are gorgeous watercolours made in Poland.

Thank you so much for your comment. Since making this video Cosclay has released lot of different types of clay such as liquid clay and I think they have improved their packaging. I haven't used my clay in a long time as I got side tracked and have been painting and lino printing a lot. I hope my clay is still usable. Thankfully I have a motor for my pasta machine. I hope you will enjoy playing with Cosclay. Facebook has a great group devoted to this clay and you can ask tons of questions in there.

Thank you for your comment. I think of all the paints Folkart performs best. Maybe because it's meant for crafts. Gesso is also always a good idea as it makes it easier to paint. It gives the surface tooth.

They also met our neighbours' cat Charlie who they adore. It will certainly take a lot longer now for me to upload new content as these 2 are a cute distraction.

Thank you for your comment. I live in the UK and you can buy them as a set of tubes and half pans. The pans are a bit cheaper.

You're right I think those work best with other colours. I noticed with the blue shimmer acrylic inks that you can see the blue faintly on black paper. With these types of watercolours it is best to use them in combination with normal watercolours using it more for accents. I just wanted to see how they look on paper. I have yet to find black watercolour paper I like. The van Gogh has an odd texture.

Hi Sally. Thank you for your comment. Those clips are Ternes Burton buttons with plastic tabs attached to the paper. They are sold in pairs in either metal (not sure, but it might be stainless steel) or recently I have seen a cheaper plastic version on the Handprinted website. They make it much easier print , especially if you have to re-ink. I am currently spending time learning to paint with watercolour. It's fun and always surprising to see the results. Hi Carole. I checked Pooki Presses website and the description says that it's made from recycled fibre materials. I bought it separately and you can buy it in different sizes.

Thank you for your comment. I am only using Caligo safewash as it's oil based and has a longer open time -so you can make lots of prints without it drying quickly on the surface. It is also easy to clean up (no solvents needed). When I started I used water based inks, but they dry too quickly - they are useful if you want to do a quick print though. I would recommend to try both and see what you prefer. Schmincke sells high quality waterbased ink. The paper is attached with Ternes Burton buttons to an acrylic sheet - this way it stays in place. I bought those and the matching tabs from Jackson's or Handprinted (can't remember) and the acrylic sheet from Ebay. Hope this helps. I am very sorry to hear that. Could you return them to your supplier? I keep all my Pitt pens horizontally in a box, that might help prevent them to dry out. If your pens were brand new they shouldn't have dried out before using.

Thank you for your comment. We had some fish drama at Christmas and a few losses, so hubby had to figure out what killed them! Having a tank in a small space is not easy to manage. However he has learnt a lot and is now in the process of moving the fish in a bigger tank he bought second hand via Gumtree. Once that's populated with fish I will film another video of that. Sadly big Dave , our last remaining rainbow trout died last week and he got a proper burial. He was part of his Aquaponics system. The trout wee rescues.
